What’s the difference?

Imaging systems allow healthcare professionals to have a more accurate picture of what is difficult to assess with our eyes. The KneeKG system is unlike other imaging options, as it brings another component to what is now possible in providing a moving image to the knee joint.

Knee Kinesiography makes it possible to know the state of the knee’s function by capturing its movement and by making it possible to understand the deficits related to pain and your symptoms. The following points will help you clarify the difference between Knee Kinesiography and other widely used forms of imaging:
X-rays show the static image of your bone structure.
Magnetic resonance shows the static condition of soft tissues.
Knee Kinesiography analyzes the movements of your knee, it analyzes the “function”.

Studies have shown a greater correlation between the pain experienced by the patient and the data obtained with the KneeKG, compared to the association between images from a conventional imaging system (MRI and X-rays) and symptoms.

How is a Knee Kinesiography performed?

After a few calibration tests, the patient walks on the treadmill for 5-10 minutes, with the KneeKG components resting on their leg. The system captures data about the movement of the patient’s knee joint while walking. The system then analyzes the objective data received and quantifies deficits in the knee function, similar to the electrocardiogram for the heart. A program is then proposed, based on the results of the examination.

Do you suffer from knee pain?
